SEASON 1 - OWEN

NOTICE: I apologise for the large length of time between this interview and the last. Schoolwork has really been on the rise recently and neither me or my interviewees have found much time to conduct these interviews.

For many years now, Owen has expressed a wide interest in political theory. Through studying politics with him, I have begun to understand his political perspectives a lot more. Considering his well thought out opinions, I thought it would only be fitting for him to be my next interviewee. I interviewed him on only some of his political passions: Brexit, the environment and the UK Labour Party. This interview enabled me to learn some great statistics which should inspire many people to do their research and make informed political decisions.

SEASON 1 - TOM

Tom has always inspired me politically. His views on the world have always intrigued me and I knew when I started this blog that I had to get him for an interview. Tom is the Youth Officer for Mid Worcestershire Labour and I decided to quiz him on some of the more pressing issues facing us in the present day and also some more personal questions about Labour and getting involved with politics. Interviewing him made me think deeply about some of the decisions taken by parliament and also what I can do myself to get even more involved.

SEASON 1 - JONTY

I wanted my second interviewee to be someone controversial who not everyone may agree with, yet someone confident enough to let their ideas loose without holding back. This description fitted my good friend Jonty who has very unique political views and a very unique take on current events. This interview gave me a lot more respect for people who are 100% open about their views and also taught me a lot about how different events can have different impacts on different people.

SEASON 1 - GABE

For my first interviewee, I wanted to get someone who did not conform to the traditional ideals of society, someone who would be able to give me some thought provoking answers on a number of controversial social issues while still knowing bits and pieces about general politics. Instantly, I thought of my good friend Gabe who is a member of the LGBT community, I came from this talk feeling very moved and my personal views on the LGBT situation have certainly been modified.

Introduction - SEASON 1

So, if you’re stumbling across this blog I assume you have an interest in politics or current events or even just an interest in the different political perspectives of young people. Whatever the reason, this is an introduction into my latest endeavour known as ‘Notoriety: The People vs Politics’.
